Small forests,
Greener communities,
Real Impact
Impact so far.
Look what’s growing already.
We’re still near the beginning of the journey, but the roots are already spreading. Behind every number is a child with muddy hands, a school with a new outdoor space, and a little patch of land being brought back to life.
22 new micro forests planted
Over 2,000 square metres of wildflowers created
Over 15,000 trees planted
Over 4,000 children have planted their own tree
Over 9,000 books given away
3,283 square metres of urban land transformed
Watch us plant
a micro forest
Watch our film to relive the joy, teamwork, and learning. From digging holes to planting trees, every moment
showcases the power of community and education in creating
a greener future.
Small forests. Big futures
What began as a big idea has now become a growing network of forests, books, school visits, volunteers, sponsors, researchers and very proud little tree planters.
-
We're a team of passionate thinkers and doers. SocieTree creates Miyawaki inspired micro forests in schools and urban spaces, giving children the chance to plant, learn, explore and grow alongside nature, while enhancing ecosystems within built-up areas.
What began as a big idea has now become a growing network of forests, books, school visits, volunteers, sponsors, researchers and very proud little tree planters.
We are rooted in Plymouth and South Devon, but our ambition is much bigger: to help grow greener, wilder, kinder places for future generations.
-
We plant forests with children, not just for them.
Our work brings together tree planting, outdoor learning, storytelling, science, community action and long-term care.
Each My Wacky Forest is designed to become a living classroom. Children help plant the trees, meet Mushi and the forest friends through our book series, learn how nature helps with flooding, heat, biodiversity and climate change, and return to the forest as it grows.
These are not just tree planting days. They are moments children remember.
-
SocieTree has grown from the beginning through brilliant partnerships, generous sponsors, muddy volunteers, curious schools, thoughtful researchers, practical contractors, creative storytellers and people who simply believed in the idea before there was very much to show for it.
That still means the world to us.
Our work is rooted in collaboration. We don’t just arrive, plant trees and disappear. We work with schools, businesses, communities, funders and landowners to create forests that are cared for, understood and loved long after planting day.
Every partnership is different, but they all help us do the same thing: create greener, wilder, kinder places for children and communities to grow.
